GymBro is designed with privacy in mind.

Data Storage

Profile information, nutrition entries, meal logs, recent foods, favorites, saved meals, water tracking data, weight tracking data, meal reminder preferences, and application settings are stored locally on the user's device.

Accounts

GymBro does not require users to create an account.

Data Collection

GymBro does not sell personal information and does not use advertising or third-party analytics.

Barcode Scanner and Camera Access

GymBro may request access to the device camera when the user chooses to scan a food barcode. Camera access is used only for barcode scanning. GymBro does not record, store, or upload photos or video from the camera.

Open Food Facts

When the user performs a food search or scans a barcode, GymBro may communicate with the Open Food Facts service to retrieve product and nutritional information. GymBro does not send profile information, weight data, water data, meal history, or other personal fitness data to Open Food Facts.

Water and Weight Tracking

Water intake and weight tracking information are stored locally on the user's device and are not uploaded to Ravora servers.

Saved Meals, Recent Foods, and Favorites

Saved meals, recent foods, favorites, and related nutrition data are stored locally on the user's device.

Smart Meal Reminders

GymBro may request permission to send local notifications for meal reminders. Reminder preferences and meal activity used for scheduling reminders are stored locally on the user's device.

Update Checks

GymBro may periodically retrieve a public update configuration file over HTTPS to determine whether a newer version of the app is available. This update check does not transmit profile information, nutrition data, weight data, water data, meal history, or other personal GymBro data.
